The Mental Health Chaplaincy (MHC), has partnered over the years with Pathways to Promise (P2P), a national faith based group founded in 1988. Early in the 2009, following the publication of his book, Souls in the Hands of a Tender God, founder, Craig Rennebohm, began to work through Pathways to publish and disseminate the Model of Companionship throughout the country. In 2017 the MHC officially joined with Pathways to create The Companionship Movement. Kae and Jessica have traveled across the country training Companions and Companionship Workshop instructors. Pizza ChaplaincyUpdates on volunteer effort to serve residents of homeless encampments in the International District of Seattle with pizza and coffee based on the "Companionship" chaplaincy model. The effort is made possible by Mental Health Chaplaincy, Humble Pie Pizza, and The Station Coffee House. The goal is to provide a hot meal and create a safe space to build relationships with camp residents over time through active listening. The intent is to expand this program to the Queen Anne area near St. Paul's Episcopal Church in 2021 using seed money from gracious donors.
